i am still around and kicking, i promise!

but here's the deal:

my to-do list is MONSTROUS! and well the motivation has been... a lot less than monstrous. i do have a bunch of things to work on, and once i'm feeling a little more excited about them, i will definitely start updating!

BUT, guess what?! i got into teacher's college! YAY (thank goodness)

i was so nervous, but i can't wait- even though it's going to be a crazy amount of work. (p.s. i want to teach high school art, english and creative writing- but mostly art if i can do that)

AND camp is in a month! (i volunteer as a camp counselor for a grade 8 graduation trip at Arts & Athletics Camp, but this year i am being paid as an instructor- it is a little bittersweet, to be honest! i will miss having my own cabin, but it is an exciting opportunity to be chosen as an instructor.)

i seriously love camp! this one i feel is extra special. it brings kids who don't know each other SO close in only 5 days. it really is one of my favourite places on earth! ♥

so i might as well... here we go, here's my list (oh gee):

- re-design my blog

- take photos of artwork

- create a website for my art/photography/ etc?

- create more, in general!

- have an art show this summer

- clean and organize my art space (in my basement)

- clean and re-decorate my room (i really need to do this before i start school so i have somewhere to work and sleep properly... plus it's so fun once all you need to do is decorate)

- (speaking of) get my sleep schedule back! i go to sleep at 5am, it sucks!

- start my volunteer work again

- hit the gym (a lot)

- take more photos (instagram is helping- angiesarus is my username if you have it!)
- i am sure there is more i can slap on there, trust me
- oh yeah! get a job that i don't detest! haha (until mid-august)

happy valentine's day, kiddos!

now, this is my kind of valentine's day card! hehe! i can't help it, i am such a sucker for a mustache on a cute boy! speaking of boys... who needs 'em!? haha!
this valentine's day is dedicated to loving MYSELF! i have to say, it is nice to reach a point where, though i am still working on it, i am happy to be on my own.

so happy valentine's day, no bitterness attached!

i am supposed to be packing! eep! off to Cuba tomorrow with my family!

i am so excited to get my tan on, work with my new camera, and swim in the ocean! *sigh!*

oh yeah, birthday, yeah!

(yes that was fully a jersey shore reference! haha oops!)

tomorrow is my 23rd birthday (ew!) so tonight i am going to a club and dancing it up with my ladies! (we usually aren't the club, bottle service types, but that's what makes it so fun and hilarious!)

to get ready for tonight i did some restyling on a pair of shoes and a cardigan! i want to submit them to project restyle, but i have no time right now, i have to go get my hurrr did!

 

I bought some studs at fabricland and glued these bad boys on! i can't wait to wear it and hope none of them fall off! hahaha

 

these were my most comfortable heels! i have never had a blister or sore foot while wearing these (that usually happens to me with most shoes) even after a night of dancing! but they were purple with a straw, espadrille-esque heel, and i didn't get a chance to wear them often because they looked so summery. so i took some silk screening ink and painted it on! i know i will get much more use out of them being black, and can play around with accessories on them! i think tonight i will put bows on the toes!

well, goodbye year twenty-two! it was.... weird. haha

23 is weirder though.

hello you!

i know i am not the most frequent blogger, but i just wanted to say hello, i am alive! 

i've been avoiding the internet for a couple of weeks [in order to avoid any unnecessary drama that may or may not occur... long story haha] and have been a little bit busy!

i am volunteering at my high school in the Visual Arts classes and i really like it- i hope that i can dive right into teaching after teacher's college [i applied for september, i have to wait until april to hear if i've been accepted, ugh! so far awaaay]... i am also working on my sketchbook for the sketchbook project- when my sketchbook is digitized i will be sure to put the link up so you can all see it.

hmm what else am i doing?? ooo! i am working on a blog makeover for miss julie ross that i promise will be super duper cute. and yes, there will be cupcakes involved! ♥

today i bought some doc martens- just a black pair ($95!! how could i pass that up?!) to deal with the slush.

i can't lie... last week i was walking to the salon my bffs work at called hair on the avenue [it is such a gorrrgeous vintage inspired salon with velvet damask wallpaper and chandeliers set in an old house] i love it so much and my friends are amazing hairdressers! while i'm at it, let me show you my new hair: 

 

sorry it is only a macbook photobooth picture it comes off a little dark! i kept my natural dark brown base and did a copper ombre and i absolutely love it!

anyhoo back to my story... i was walking through yorkville [a rich, fancy pants area of Toronto] and it started to snow, and i was just wearing my leather flat boots that i wear everywhere and are getting totally worn out... aaaand of course i took a major flip in front of everyone hahaha- wet knees and all! 

so hopefully the doc martens help me completely avoid any future slush flips!

i have to say though i am totally in love with these black floral ones i tried on too- too bad they were only canvas... but i think i might just buy them in the spring because they are looovely:

i have double special plans tomorrow, the first is top secret, the second is dinner with my girls and i am so excited!
